Sexual Development across the Lifespan Workshop

People with disabilities may require specific teaching strategies when learning about growing up, body changes and sexuality across the lifespan.

This workshop provides practical information for parents/carers, teachers, support workers, and health professionals to support people with disability in their understanding and experience of sexual development.

Topics we cover:

  • Introduction to sex and gender
  • Puberty and adolescence
  • Menstruation and Hygiene
  • Sexual feelings and masturbation
  • Sexual and Reproductive Health
  • Pregnancy and Parenthood
  • Menopause
  • Sexuality in older adulthood

This workshop is for parents, carers, students, teachers and health professionals. There is a limit of 3 participants from the same organisation.

This is a full day workshop with coffee/tea and biscuits provided. Please bring your own water bottle and lunch. We have a fridge and microwave that you’re welcome to use.
